
Solar Installer/Electrician
The Solar Installer/Electrician is responsible for all electrical and solar installation projects. Will plan and install conduit and wire for DC and AC wire runs, install and wire inverter systems and energy monitoring equipment. Will work with permitting offices and electrical inspectors and will be responsible for completing electrical work in a code-compliant manner. Pay will be discussed upon interview.
Solar Installer/Electrician will install all photovoltaic system components and electrical equipment, ensure successful operation of complete photovoltaic system, and communicate project status with Project Managers and Construction Managers. They will also install all solar systems and plan system designs as a member of our solar installation team.
Job Responsibilities
A Solar Installer/Electrician typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing large residential/commercial solar systems and associated equipment. (Responsible for physical installations such as connections., wiring, etc.)
Experience installing, maintaining, and servicing solar batteries of various types.
Experience installing all other related components involved in a solar system installation.
Laying out, assembling, installing, testing, maintaining, servicing and repairing conduits, meters, panels, motors, lighting systems, fans, heaters, receptacles and various other electrical systems and components.
Installing interior and exterior wiring for equipment, appliances, and various other pieces of machinery ranging from residential, commercial, and industrial.
Bending and threading conduit to include installation of wire and cable
Coordinating wire pulls ranging from low voltage cable to large feeder cables over long distances.
Installation of large, complex electrical systems from start to finish
A working knowledge of electrical codes
Ability to read electrical plan sets and equipment manuals
Previous experience working with power/hand tools, electrical equipment, and the ability to navigate a job site
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable and safe driving record.
Understanding of any and all safety requirements for the job site and machines being used.

Preferred Skills:
Minimum 10+ year of experience in the solar/electrical field
Hold an AZ ROC R-11 or C-11 Residential or Commercial Electrical License
Ability to plan large solar system installations from start to finish including; one line diagrams, load calculations, analyzing terrain, maximizing solar efficiency, voltage drop, wire and system sizing, etc.
Ability to communicate effectively with various designers, architects, and engineers
Ability to create an accurate materials list for any given project
First AID/CPR certified
